Welcome to the Fresh Coast

Hello, and welcome to my blog FreshCoast Currents.  As the title implies, there is a geographic specificity to this endeavor - a desire to think out loud about the daily phenomena that not only define life along Lake Michigan, but that create the complex interface where modern human culture meets the rich mosaic of our local environment.  Environmental writing necessitates a willingness to embrace complexity and an understanding that right and wrong are often hard to identify, and actualize, in our lives.  But change is coming, in nature it always does, and I hope you'll join me in observing the ebb and flow.
